This month we invested in a company called ITM.
ITM Power, the clean fuel and energy storage company, is proud to be continuing to play a part in the support of key workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. These customers include the FCEV Metropolitan Police vehicles used for policing activities in London and Green Tomato Cars, who are helping to get key workers where they need to be. Both the MET Police and Green Tomato Car drivers are continuing to use the Company’s hydrogen refuelling stations in and around the London area in Teddington, Cobham on the M25, Beaconsfield on the M40 and Rainham. Each three minute car refuel provides a range of up to 400 miles.
We actually bought into this company in 2006 at a price of 197p: held on to it for two years and saw it drop to 45p in 2008 at which point we sold.
We should clearly have held on to this share which we had to buy back at 310.75.
We discussed buying it several weeks ago, since when it has doubled in price! One of our canny members decided to buy privately and is sitting on a nice profit. Wipe that smile off your face M...!!!
Another renewable energy company in our share portfolio is Simec Atlantic Energy: Over the year this share price has been extremely volatile, dropping to a low of 690p to a high of 2250p......today it is sitting at 1850. The share price recently surged on the successful testing of waste derived fuel pellets. So one to watch and hold for now.
We continue to be delighted with our purchase of Ocado: one of the biggest risers in the FTSE since Covid19 struck. A 74% profit since we bought at the start of the pandemic.
Homeserve has been given a target price of 1450 - it is currently sitting at 1334. Onwards for upwards on this share. where we are looking at a profit of 120%.
Halma and Croda are both sitting at an all time high of 10 years.
Dechra: we keep seeing positive articles of this company in the papers, but it stubbornly keeps hitting the 3000p mark and gets sold off. Covid has stalled the anticipated purchase of new advanced drugs. One day it will surge through.
